Good Luck, Mr. Gorsky

Thirty-five years ago today, NASA filmed Neil Armstrong landing on a moon-like sound stage somewhere in the Nevada desert just outside of Laughlin. My father’s sister has a neighbor who knows a guy that used to work at a gas station with a man who was the director of cinematography for the shoot. If you look closely at the picture to the left, you can clearly see Clarence Williams III (or Linc) on the set of the “Mod Squad” relaxing in a chair.
NASA is seriously considering their first attempt at a moon landing since the failed mission during the filming of Apollo 13 in which Tom Hanks, Kevin Bacon, and Bill Paxton were trapped in a damaged LEM.
Good luck, Mr. Gorsky.
