Is it so hard to make a little posting on your website that you have cancelled the City Council meeting? If you could take the time to type up a note and tape it to the door, then you have easily posted it on the website. Operations down at City Hall become more and more amateur each day.
Switching gears to finely-tuned community organizations, the Historic East Side Nieghborhood Association will be having a general meeting this coming Sunday (the 10th) at the St. Joseph Mercy Medical Building on North Huron Street at 7PM. The meeting will focus on neighborhood and City concerns. Ward 3 City Council member Barry LaRue as well as Ypsilanti Police Captain Matt Harshberger will be present to answer questions and concerns.
It’s like I’ve won the lottery. If you are a young-ish Ypsilantian who lives in the domain of the HESNA, you really should put your money where your mouth is and show up. Drinking beer with other bloggers will only accomplish so much.
As a quick aside, the HESNA is bound by the intersection of Prospect and Forest, west on Forest to Norris, south on Norris to the right-of-way at the railroad tracks, then southeast on the railroad tracks to Grove, then north on Grove to East Cross, east on Cross to Prospect, and finally north on Prospect back to Forest. Got it?
