More Bitching & Whining

The cartoon-ish picture to the left is a classic. Gary Larson probably did it best (but I’m not willing to post that one lest the copyright hammer swing down upon me). What do council members hear when you speak? I am pleased to report that it’s business as usual. The agendas and minutes are still out of date and incomplete. The good news is that at least all of the council members have their names listed even if they don’t have their email addresses. Change freaks people out. Things will probably be a lot better once the City Council runs the City into the ground and the Governor is forced to appoint someone to run things. Hey, it worked for the city of Hamtramck a couple of years ago. It will work for us one day too.

Looking back on it, I’m sort of glad my write-in campaign for City Council was such a disaster. Boy, would I have felt stupid trying to accomplish things. And I can imagine how the other council members would have ostracized me for actually wanting to listen to what residents had to say. I guess if they don’t pay attention to Steve Pierce, why in the hell would they listen to me?

In other news, some very dear friends of mine recently purchased the Democratic Party. I am very pleased to see that political parties are no longer in the pockets of wealthy individuals like George Soros.

Finally, Dimebag Darrell and three others were murdered on stage while Damageplan rocked the Alrosa Villa nightclub in Columbus, Ohio Wednesday night. I read on a message board that this was the saddest thing ever to happen to metal. That’s a bit of an exaggeration. The saddest thing to ever happen to metal was when In The Shadow broke up in 1993. Sure, they weren’t famous. And sure, they weren’t metal. But their breakup transcends music genres. Tonight I’ll pour a 40 oz. on the curb for my fallen comrades.
