When all was said and done, it was the beer guys who came through in the clutch, but there were a lot of people responsible for raising the money needed for the City of Ypsilanti to apply for a grant from the Michigan Department of Natural Resources Trust Fund. If you live in Ypsilanti, give yourself a pat on the back. Obviously, this doesn’t guarantee us the the grant, but we are in the game.
It’s entirely possible that this post violates some sort of confidentiality agreement, but since it was forwarded to me, I won’t be the one getting fired.
Subject: Riverside Park Fundraising a Success!
Good news all! We’ve exceeded our goal for the Riverside Park trust fund grant match! The Brewers Guild came through yesterday with a $5,000 contribution. Thanks to all of you who made it possible!
I’ll be writing a press release today so please feel free to send me some quotes if you’d like to be included. I can’t guarantee I’ll fit them all in but I want to make sure we give credit where credit is do.
Davia is finalizing the grant application for delivery to Lansing today. I’ll update you on the status of our application as we go through the process.
