According to news reports, half of the 93 condominiums at Ann Arbor’s Ashley Terrace have been sold already.Buyers jumped at the opportunity to reserve an Ashley Terrace condominium in downtown Ann Arbor at pre-construction prices during the first month since the Grand Opening January 28, 2006.More than 50 persons reserved one of the 93 condos. Those buyers made a very timely decision because a price increase was announced Feb. 1.

Ashley Terrace, at the corner of Ashley and Huron, is the newest residential community being developed in Southeast Michigan by Joseph Freed Homes of Chicago.

“We are very excited that half our units were reserved in two days,” says Kristine Gosselin, Director of Sales and Marketing Michigan for Joseph Freed Homes. “Being in downtown Ann Arbor is a spectacular amenity for us to have for this community. The overwhelming response demonstrates the confidence buyers have in Joseph Freed Homes’ outstanding track record of building quality lifestyle communities.”

The richness of downtown living was echoed by Thomas and Lisa O’Connor of West Bloomfield who travel to Ann Arbor for entertainment, dining and shopping at least once a week. “Ashley Terrace appeals to us as a second home,” said Thomas O’Connor. “We are thinking this is a can’t miss opportunity to be downtown.”

Ashley Terrace condos are priced from the mid-200’s. The 10-story building will have 93 units, nine of which are prestigious penthouse units, ranging from 1200-2700 square feet. Other homes range from 850-1600 square feet and there will be a 645 square foot studio unit.

Ashley Terrace features include hardwood floors, granite countertops, ease of lifestyle, private laundry facilities in each unit and a balcony. The plans include a choice of 1 or 2 bedrooms and up to 2-1/2 baths, and complete appliance package.

Like other Joseph Freed developments, Ashley Terrace is a mixed-use community with a Flagstar Bank and other retail uses on the 1st floor, offices on the 2nd floor, and residences on floors 3-10. Residents can walk to work, shop, to dine out, or for a night out. There will be three levels of parking for residents and commercial parking spaces in the back of the building.

With more than 50 years experience developing communities, the Joseph Freed name has always stood for integrity in real estate development throughout the Midwest. Each Joseph Freed community is classically styled to endure the test of time.

Let’s hope that Joseph Freed and Associates can work similar magic with Water Street here in Ypsilanti.
