Mark Maynard was there. So was Matt Callow. I shook hands with Brian Filipiak of Ypsilanti City Council fame. I toasted with Barry LaRue. I even ran into Assistant City Manager Bob Bruner as well as recently elected School Board member David Bates. Washtenaw County Commissioner Conan Smith saluted the Greffs. To show what a blast from the past it was, a guy I used to work with ten years ago showed up spread birthday saluations on my behalf.

No one paid my bill or gave me a gift, but it was the thought that counts.
