Ever since the primary election in August, I’ve found myself very busy. I knew this would happen, so to be able to handle the workload, I began looking for a volunteer intern to help with public appearances as well as this site. Sadly, the volunteer intern did not show up for his first scheduled day of work last week, and as a result, I am shorthanded. The intern did not give a real reason for not showing up, just stating that he did not want to volunteer for free.
One of those public appearances I had hoped to be able to send my former-intern to was a little celebration being held in my honor. A coronation if you will. I was uncomfortable with the term “coronation,” and add to that the idea that I don’t like to wear hats let alone crowns, and you can see why I hoped to send an intern.
Not being able to send a proxy, I am forced instead to personally make the appearance. As such, I would formally like to extend an invitation to everyone to join the celebration tomorrow night at Frenchies. It’s located at 54 East Cross Street in the heart of Depot Town in Ypsilanti. Drink specials have been negotiated to a special, low, low price of only $2 per pint. The festivities begin promptly at 7PM, so set your alarm clock to November 16th.
Gold and frankincense is greatly appreciated. Please, no myrrh.
