Ypsilanti Symphony Orchestra

The Ypsilanti Symphony Orchestra this Saturday, June 2nd, for their annual spring pops concert, “Journey West!” The YSO will play western favorites from John Williams “The Cowboys”, “The Magnificent Seven,” Copland’s “Rodeo,” “Oklahoma!” and bunches of your old-time favorite folk songs and fiddle tunes. Everyone is encouraged to come dressed in their favorite western garb.

DATE: Saturday, June 2, 2007

TIME: 7:30 PM

LOCATION: EMU Student Center

TICKETS: $12 adults, $8 students/seniors, $25 family of 2 adults and all the kids.

Tickets are available at the door and now online at www.ypsilantisymphony.org. Please invite your friends and pass along the attached flyer.

HOPE America Food & Clothing Give-Away

HOPE America, which stands for Helping Ordinary People Excel, will be giving away new clothing, hygiene products, senior citizen items, Avon products, toys, and much, much more this Saturday, June 2nd, in the KMart parking lot located at 3100 Washtenaw Avenue in Ypsilanti from 9:00 AM to Noon. Low-income individuals, families, seniors, churches, and those in need are encouraged to attend. The first 20 people get a free medium pizza compliments of Dominio’s.

HOPE America is a nonprofit community based, 501(C)3 organization that service Washtenaw, Wayne, Jackson and surrounding counties in southeastern Michigan, through their food, educational, and clothing assistance services. Their mission is to assist disadvantaged citizens to rise above circumstances and improve their quality of life.
