Memorial Day Parade Recap

Not all Ypsilanti City Council members were able to attend today’s annual Memorial Day Parade. Not all Ypsilanti Township Trustees were able to attend the parade either.
As a result, we merged our two groups and marched as one. We had a much more powerful influence than anyone expected. Had this been a County-wide parade, as a group, we would have had almost as much of a presence as Ann Arbor.

Hey See, regionalization can work.
What was cute was the “new guard change is good folks” from the City and TWP were at the front, and the “status quo, things are just fine folks” were at the back.

Get a grip – the township is never merge into a regional government with the city. Township residents have to vote to approve and the city has nothing to offer but debt, brownfields, and inept leadership.

Wow, you can really sense the fear behind the words of TwnshpResident…. It’s ok, really. Many in the City of Ypsilanti are beginning to recognize the value of regional cooperation, but we REALLY don’t want to merge with you either. Icky poo!
