Hope Is A Good Breakfast, But A Bad Supper

After every primary election season, Representative John Dingell has his unity breakfast. The goal is to gather all the area Democrats together so they can put their differences behind them and unify as a party before taking on the Republicans in the fall. This year was no exception as Congressman Dingell held his breakfast this past Saturday here in Ypsilanti (albeit the Township).
The breakfast went off without a hitch. The food is always good. The speeches are always inspiring. The only thing that one might consider out of the ordinary was when some of the officials from Ypsilanti Township invited the City of Ypsilanti contingent to sit at their table. They asked us to merge our breakfasts together so that we would have a much more powerful breakfast in the eastern part of the County.
After much discussion, the group of City of Ypsilanti officials decided to sit in the back of the room near the City of Ann Arbor and Washtenaw County tables.
