John Kerry scored a narrow victory over John Edwards in today’s Wisconsin primary. Howard Dean vowed to stay in the race and continue to embarrass himself. I have a lot of sympathy for Dean, because his implosion reminds me of my own spiral into oblivion after winning the 1982 Booker Prize. You’re a good man, Charlie Brown.
Fortune magazine has an article that compares and contrasts the fiscal policies of Kerry and President Bush. It is interesting to point out that the National Endowment for the Arts received its largest funding increase in twenty years under Bush. It really is a Mad, mad, mad, mad world.
