For Ypsi Pride Day 2005, the Historic East Side Neighborhood Association will be sponsoring the clean-up of Prospect Park on May 21st. If you live in or near the boundaries of the East Side, you are encouraged to participate and promote goodwill among neighbors and increase civic spirit. Interested parties may email their intentions to the head of HESNA. The group will meet at Luna Lake at 9 AM in order to divide and conquer. Last year, one lucky individual found a paper bag filled with over $600.

The clean-up will last from 9 AM until noon. After the clean-up, everyone is encouraged to join in a picnic from noon to 2 PM in Riverside Park sponsored by CoPac. At last year’s picnic, those in attendance were treated to the melodic harmonies of The Submarines. As of this printing, the 2005 entertainment line-up has not been confirmed.
