Every year I pick a slogan to be my personal theme for the year. This year’s winner barely edged out Henry David Thoreau‘s “Our truest life is when we are in dreams awake,” and William Blake‘s “No bird soars too high if he soars with his own wings,” but in the end, who in their right mind could deny Joe Elliott’s inspirational prose?I decided to reach back to 1987 and select the immortal words of Def Leppard:

Are you gettin’ it? Armageddon it!

It’s hard to have to reject the first two quotes, but to me at least, they didn’t sound edgy enough for 2006. 2006 is going to be all about edgy.
