Eastern Michigan University will be having a community leaders’ open forum with the final four candidates for the EMU Presidency. Freeman Hendrix, Chief Government Relations Officer at EMU, has cordially invited a bunch of local politicos to participate. Since I received an invitation and all of the sessions are public, I’m passing it along to you, the community, and encourage you to attend.
All meetings will begin at 5PM and will be held in the EMU Student Center Auditorium.
The schedule for candidates is as follows:
- Tuesday, May 6th
Michael Flanagan, Superintendent of public schools for the State of Michigan - Wednesday, May 7th
Kenneth Burnley, Senior Resident Fellow and Director of the Education Leadership Center of the School of Education at the University of Michigan - Tuesday, May 8th
Don Shelton, 22nd Circuit Court Judge for Washtenaw County Trial Court - Tuesday, May 9th
Susan Martin, Provost and Vice Chancellor of Academic Affairs for the University of Michigan –Dearborn
This is your community. Have a say in charting its future.
